Risk Disclosure
Please read this before using anything on GetProfitable to make a decision.
General
Trading and investing in stocks, exchange-traded funds, options, futures, foreign exchange, contracts for difference and cryptocurrencies involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every person. You may lose some or all of your money. In leveraged and margined products you can lose more than your initial deposit and may be required to make additional payments. Past performance of any market, strategy, trader or system is not indicative of future results. Only risk capital you can afford to lose.
Options
Options involve risk and are not suitable for all investors. Before trading options you should read the Options Clearing Corporation's Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options (available from your broker or at theocc.com). Sellers of uncovered options face potentially unlimited loss.
Futures and forex
Futures and forex are highly leveraged. Small price movements can produce large gains or losses relative to margin. Markets can gap, move limit-up or limit-down, and become illiquid; stop orders do not guarantee a fill at the stop price. Off-exchange retail forex is not traded on a regulated exchange and your counterparty may be the dealer.
Cryptocurrencies
Crypto assets are highly volatile, largely unregulated, and can lose all value. Exchanges and custodians can fail, be hacked or freeze withdrawals. Perpetual futures and other crypto derivatives add leverage and funding costs on top of that.
Hypothetical, simulated and backtested performance
Content on this site, including courses, playbooks, calculators and member posts, may contain hypothetical or simulated performance results. Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. In fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk in actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all of which can adversely affect actual trading results.
Prop firms
Proprietary trading "evaluations" are products sold by private companies. Fees are usually non-refundable, most participants do not pass, rules can change, and payouts depend on the firm's solvency and discretion. Several firms have stopped paying or closed. Nothing here endorses any firm.
Testimonials and member content
Member journals, reviews and posts describe individual experiences that are not typical and are not verified. They are not a promise of what you will experience.
